New Scheduling Process for Parent/Teacher Conferences
This trimester, parent-teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, October 2 and Thursday, October 4 from 4:30-7pm. We are piloting a new process that requires parents to schedule the conference with their child’s teachers using Skyward Family Access. In order to schedule the time slots, parents need to have a username and password. If you currently do not have that information, please contact Shannon Kesler (keslers@masonk12.net) and she will set up your account. Next Friday, you will receive instructions on how to schedule conferences in Skyward Family Access. The scheduling window will open September 24 and remain open until October 1.

Ele's Group
Mason High School will be starting Ele’s Group, a grief support group for students who have experienced the death of a family member or close friend. This support group will be led by one MHS counselor and one Ele’s Place social worker. Ele’s Place is a non-profit community agency that has been offering grief support groups for 20 years. We at Mason High School are pleased to work with Ele’s place to offer this opportunity to our students.
Our MHS Ele’s Group will be offered during the school day, once a week, beginning October 17. In small group sessions, students will have the opportunity to talk about their feelings and experiences with others who understand, participate in a variety of hands on activities, and learn positive coping skills.
Permission slips are available in the counseling office or by emailing Ms. Williams at williamss@masonk12.net. We have limited space and preference will be given to the first students who return the permission slip.

Compete for a Cause is back!
Thank you to the Dart Foundation!
Thank you to the Dart Foundation for the generous donation to Mr. Joyce's science classroom. The money was used to purchase 14 classroom tables to better facilitate discussions in Chemistry.
